  Case  of  Suppurative  Tonsilitis

A 7 years old girl, R.S. studying in Std.II, and having one elder brother,

Complaints of : Repeated episodes of throat pain & Follicular Tonsillitis…….. since 4 to 5 yrs. Pain in the throat aggravates while eating grapes, oranges, & citrus juice. She has Bitter taste in mouth.
Fever (102 F) around 7 – 7.30 pm. There is Leg pain and feeling of weakness. She has Nose block, Thick greenish discharge from nose.

Patient is a very mischievous child. Does not like studies, finds it boring. Her favourite subject is English. likes to write more, than reading. Likes to draw and colour. Does’nt like to be forced. Likes dancing and music. Likes stage performing, does not fear of speaking on stage(confident). Is very bold. Selective in making friends. Likes to go out. Talkative but does not talk much in school, because of punishment. Wants somebody with her, does not like loneliness (desires Company). She is loving by nature, and is more attached to her Daddy.

She has Fear of ghost. Inquisitive and avoids fighting. Always wants change, feels bored fast.

Aversion to vegetables, desires sweets and is a hot patient.

Analysis: She is very restless child and feels bored easily. Likes music and to dance. Right sided complaints. Hairfall and Rt. Tonsilitis abcess. Dictatorial and timid.

The remedy selected on the above rubrics was Lyco 30 1 dose given.
Follow up after a week : patient felt much better, moods were ok , throat looked good. She was feeling better without any recurrence of complaints. She was kept on SL after that.

Conclusion :
A follow up of around a year has been kept. She had only one episode of recurrence when she required a second dose of Lyco.30. This case teaches us that a few doses of the right constitution medicine gave the child complete cure and avoided any surgery of tonsils.
